In this guide we will look at the Berne clan, its attributes and related quests.

    The Berne clan

As indicated previously, the Berne clan is specialised in Stealth actions and favours attributes and skills related to Stealth. The headquarters of the clan are situated in Galom Daeus, west of the Telvanni mage tower of Tel Uvirith. Being skilled at hiding and lurking in the shadows, they are the true masters of the darkness, the quintessential vampire breed if you like. Members of this bloodline prefer to hunt discreetly and in silence, instead of fighting openly.

The leader of this clan is Raxle Berne who can be found in the headquarters of the clan. There are other locations where you can find members, such as the Nerano Ancestral tomb, situated west of Tel Vos in the Grazelands. There will be various other characters in the tomb, such as smugglers, but if venturing you will find an Imperial who is a member of this clan, ranked as a servant.

    Attributes

The favoured attribute for this clan is Agility, and they gain a favourable point bonus. An initial 20+ point bonus to Agility is added once you join this clan. Points assigned to skills are 20+ points to the Sneak skill, and Unarmored skill. This clan prefer to fight bare-handed instead of using daggers or short swords, and they gain a bonus to hit if fighting in this manner.

    Friends and Foes

Mostly you can talk to Mages and members of the Thief guild, who only show a slightly unfavourable reaction when talking to vampires. The next best bet, although more dangerous than mages or thieves, would be members of the Blades or the Fighters guild, since they aren’t likely to attack you on site. They will however still be reluctant in talking, unless you have been careful in building your Personality skills.

People who you must avoid are Ashlanders, and the Tribunal Temple who will hunt you and do their utmost to end your life. They consider vampires an aberration and will therefore attack on sight. You must also avoid members of other bloodlines, since they are all rivals.

    Clan Quests

There are two quests which you can do as a member of this clan. These are retrieving a potion of Quarra blood from their headquarters and killing a former member of your own clan in the Reloth Ancestral Tomb, situated southeast of Khuul in the West Gash.
