    Vampire Clans

There are three separate clans in the game, all living in different parts of the island and all having distinct attributes and quests. You can choose which clan to join by letting the relevant vampire hit you in fight. Each clan is specialised in a class: there are fighter, shadow and magic vampires.

The three clans in the game are:

The Shadows of the Berne, or Berne clan specialised in stealth.

The Mages of the Aundae, or Aundae clan specialised in the arcane arts.

The Warrior of the Quarra, or Quarra clan specialised in fighting.

Even after you have officially become a vampire, belonging to one of the particular clans, the leader of the clan can have an unfavourable attitude toward you. This does not mean they will attack you of course, but simply that you will have to earn the clan’s trust by proving your worth. You are after all a new acquisition to the bloodline, and hence aren’t considered historically part of their family.

Some vampires also do not belong to a specific bloodline, which in a sense makes them renegades and not recognised by any of the established families in Vvardenfell. These scattered clans have their own general quests which are available to members of any bloodline.

Each clan is located in different parts of the island. The Berne clan is located in Galom Daeus, or a Dwemer ruin situated west of the Uvirith’s ancestral tomb. This is in the Molag Amur region, in the southern part of the Ashlands. The easiest way to find it is by locating the Erabenimsun camp, required as part of the main quest, and looking north of there. The Quarras are located in the Dwemer ruin of Druscashti, exactly in the north west of Morrowind. The Ashlander Urshilaku camp is south east of the ruins and it may help you in finding it. There are actually two different Dwemer ruins in the vicinity, so be careful where you head. The Aundae are situated in the Ashmelech tomb, located on a small island southwest of the Dagon Fel village. Dagon Fel is far north in Vvardenfell, situated on the Sheogorad island.
